Naughty Leprechaun Giveaway!!!

So in my last post I mentioned that I was going to do something like the Elf on the Shelf only leprechaun style.
Well shut the front door, but I came across this awesome giveaway.  I am her newest fan and I just wanted to share with everyone.  Khrys is giving away the new (at least it's new to me) book called The Naughty Leprechaun.  Here is the link to her site and the giveaway: Keepin It Kool In Kinderland .  You can read all about the book there.

Teachers Notebook

Whew! I'm working on "getting out there".  I joined Teachers Notebook.  It's been great getting organized and being on Teachers Pay Teachers.  I still LOVE TPT and still have my shop there, but I thought maybe I would try branching out and maybe catching some more followers through a new venue (at least new to me).  I have posted a few of my units there, nothing brand new yet~the most recent is my cupcake money unit.  Now you just have two options of places to pick them up.  Yay!
Here is the link to my shop there: http://www.teachersnotebook.com/shop/sgorman1211
Come on over and check it out.

If you've been reading for a while, you know how much I LOVED the Elf on the Shelf.  Weeelllllll, I just couldn't resist...(I think I say that a lot, LOL).  Anyway, I have decided to do something similar with leprechauns (I just have to find some cute leprechaun-type dolls haha).  My new project I am working on will be somewhat similar to my Elf On The Shelf Unit.  It's still in the "creative" stage, but it looks like fun so far.  I'd better get on it since Friday is March 1st.  YIKES!!! I can't believe how this year is flying by! Until then, stay warm and think green.

Money Money Money Money

CUPCAKES FOR SALE!!!
Okay, not really, but that's the title of my newest, super cute (at least I think it's super cute) and YUMMY unit.  It's all about money, coins mostly.  It has posters, games, dice, and practice activities.  I had my laptop open this afternoon while I was working on it during my lunch.  When my little monkeys looked at it as they were grabbing their coats for lunch recess, they got excited.  They seem to be as excited about each new unit as I am.  They said they couldn't wait until it was done.  Maybe when I actually teach the unit I'll have to get some real cupcakes for them. YAY!
In the meantime, you can get it here at my Teachers Pay Teachers store.

Hugs

Pinterest is one of my favorite places to visit as I am sure you can tell if you read my blog.  I have seen these darling hand print hugs that I just couldn't resist.  I really do not know who was the originator of the idea, but I decided to make them.  It really wasn't hard...I painted each of my student's hands and had them press their print onto a piece of white construction paper.  I then measured their outstretched arms with ribbon and cut it to their individual lengths.  It was cute, but it just wasn't enough.  So I wrote this little poem and made it really small enough to glue on the back of one of each hand (I printed their name on the back of the other hand).  I made them for Valentine's Day, but I really like the idea of using them for Mother's Day, Father's Day or even Grandparent's Day.

Patriotic Unit

Just when I think I am good at multi-tasking, I realize that I really am not.  It seems that if I am creating a new item, I can't get to blogging.  I guess I do have a lot on my plate.  Tomorrow is our first night of Parent Teacher Conferences.  I am ready, but still need to get organized.

In the meantime, here is my newest creation.  I had fun making my Patriotic Unit.  I actually did some research and truly looked at the meanings of things we take for granted like our Constitution and some songs we sing.  I hope you enjoy it!  You can get it here at my Teachers Pay Teachers store.

Lego Wall

Oooh  oooh oooh!!! So I just saw this on Pinterest.  I love this idea. BUT HOW ABOUT THIS!?!?!?! So somehow (grant or donations or goodwill or just buy it...) get the Lego green background and cover part of your wall with it.  Then have the kids make words out of the legos onto the green background.  How cool would that be.  See how my deranged mind works? I can't just appreciate something for the idea, I have to turn it into something to do with school.  Am I sick or something else?!?!
